  • 7.62 is manufactured in both Titanium and Inconel
General Considerations

Ammunition: Always use good quality factory new ammunition in your firearm. Avoid using Wildcat or reloaded ammunition with your Off Grid suppressor.

In order to reduce the risk of baffle strike, it is important to ensure that your barrel threads are aligned with the bore axis of your weapon barrel.

Direct Thread Installation

Off Grid Suppressors are manufactured with either 1/2x28 or 5/8x24 threads and the suppressor threads directly on the barrel. Check thread tightness often. All direct thread suppressors will loosen up with use. A loose suppressor will shift the point of impact and can also result in baffle strikes.

Before use, make sure that the suppressor is firmly and rigidly mounted to the firearm. Failure to do so could result in damage to your firearm and suppressor. Visually inspect the suppressor after it is mounted in order to confirm it is mounted straight to the centerline of the bore. If the suppressor is not in line with the bore do not fire the firearm.

Breaking-in Your Unit

Once properly mounted your suppressor requires break-in. The first shot may be compromised until the suppressor is shot 5 to 10 times after which it is broke-in.

CAUTION: When removing the suppressor from your firearm be extremely cautious as the temperature of the suppressor could cause burns and or personal injury.

Cleaning

Off Grid suppressors require very little maintenance. It is important to keep the threads clean on both the suppressor and the firearm. Always use thread adapters on your firearm when the suppressor is not attached. Using a gun oil on the threads on occasion is recommended. There are no parts inside the suppressor as it is manufactured as one unit.

Each suppressor is finished with a high quality Cerekote. It is extremely durable and performs under high temperatures. It is important to understand that some solvents could be harmful to the exterior finish. Soaking the suppressor in solvents is not recommended. Do not run cleaning patches or use other methods of putting objects inside the suppressor to clean. Any questions regarding the performance of your suppressor please contact Off Grid customer service.
